I’m not sure it’d even help with goosenecks, which reach down lower into the bed. And as for 5th wheels, you’re still opening and closing a gate anyway for hitching & unhitching. It’s just a smaller one now.

I think this is a much better option than the aftermarket tailgate if that is the purpose. That way you don’t have to take the tailgate off or buy a new one.

Spoiler, it does not. I was eagerly awaiting this reveal as i debate replacing my ‘14 Sierra. This is probably going to be the worst looking truck on the market in 2019. No me gusta.
